Lifeline Chat is a service of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (before known as the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline). Lifeline Chat is available 24/7 across the U.S.  Lifeline Chat connects individuals with counselors for emotional support and other services via web chat. 

The 988 Lifeline  is now active across the United States. This new, shorter phone number will make it easier for people to remember and access mental health crisis services.
