FAFSA

In accordance with Texas Education Code (TEC), §28.0256, beginning with students enrolled in 12th grade during the 2021-2022 school year, each student must do one of the following to graduate:

  • Complete and submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if a US Citizen or
  • Complete and submit a Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) if not a US Citizen or
  • Submit a signed opt-out form.
  • Senior students will need parent tax information to submit the FAFSA.
  • The FAFSA allows students to qualify for loans and grants to attend college. Even if you don't think you will qualify, applying is in each student's best interest.

The sooner the FAFSA is finished, the greater the chance of receiving funds.
