A meeting of the School Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, beginning at 4:00 p.m. in the VVHS Library located at 802 S. Lee Steet, Valley View, TX 76272.

The subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are listed below. Items do not have to be taken in the same order as shown on this meeting notice.

Statements Regarding TEX. Educ. Code 28.004(k)

  1. District policies ensure that elementary and middle school students engage in the amount and level of physical activity required by Education Code 28.002(l).
  2. The SHAC met two times during the 2021-2022 school year. 
  3. VVISD complies with Texas Education Agency's vending machine and food service guidelines for restricting student access to vending machines.
  4. VVISD has adopted and enforces policies that prescribe penalties for the use of e-cigarettes and tobacco products by students and others on school campuses or at school-sponsored events.
  5. Parents may request in writing their child's physical fitness assessment results at the end of the school year.
