Valley View ISD After-School Enrichment Program is for students enrolled in VVISD pre-k through 6th grade.

The program operates Monday through Friday, and it follows the school calendar. We will be closed on all school holidays.

Time: end of school until 5:30 pm.
Location: Valley View Elementary Cafeteria

Price per month:
$118.00 for one child
$91.00 for each additional child
$73.00 for children who qualify for the National Lunch Program

You may pay by year, semester, or by month. If you pay monthly, payment is due on the first of the month. If you miss a payment, your child will be dropped from enrollment and unable to attend.

The first payment is due August 16th and then on the 1st of each month. Payment may be made in cash or check only. Please make checks payable to VVISD.

Drop-ins are not allowed. Your child must be enrolled to attend, and you must make payments.

Parent pick-up will be at the north gate by the elementary cafeteria. A late pick-up fee of $1, per-child, per-minute will be due upon arrival.

Students will receive homework and tutorial assistance and daily snacks. If you have any questions, call Jan Miller, Director, at 940-726-3244 ext. 135.

Meet the Teacher will be Monday, August 14^th. This event will be a come-and-go event with two different time frames. If your child’s last name begins with A-M, your time frame will be 4:30-5:15 pm. If your child’s last name begins with N-Z, your time frame will be 5:15-6:00 pm. Please bring school supplies to Meet the Teacher on August 14^th. If you have children with different last names, please select a one-time frame for your family. Please let your child's teacher know if you need assistance with school supplies or contact the office staff. The class lists will be posted on the school website and on campus doors prior to Meet the Teacher.

Before the school year starts, please register your student through Parent Portal found on our website under the Parent tab, and check your child’s immunization record to ensure it is current. Texas law requires all immunizations to be completed by the first day of attendance.

The school day will begin at 7:55 am and end at 3:51 pm. Morning drop-off will start at 7:30 am. Parents are welcome to walk their child to their classroom on the first two days of school (Wednesday and Thursday). The school calendar and supply lists are posted on the school website.

5th – 8th-grade students may pick up their schedules from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, August 9th.

 “Back to School Night” is on Monday, August 14^th, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Middle School students will meet with their teachers from 6:00 – 6:45 and then proceed to the gym for a short presentation about the 2023-2024 school year.

High School students can pick up their schedules on August 7th anytime from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Back-to-School Night is August 14th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. High School teachers will be in their classrooms and available to speak with students and parents about procedures, expectations, and more during this come-and-go event.

Make sure to look through the Student Handbook and Student Code of Conduct (available online at https://www.vvisd.net/322584_2 or at the campus office) with your child and familiarize yourselves with the expectations and policies regarding dress code, attendance, graduation requirements, check-out procedures, and more.

High school students are required by the state of Texas to pass STAAR End-of-Course exams in Algebra 1, Biology, English 1, English 2, and US History to graduate. Visit https://tea.texas.gov/ for testing dates and more information.

The Back to School Bash is on Saturday, August 5th, from 10 am to noon. The event is free to our VVISD families and will provide students with back-to-school items such as backpacks, school supplies, shoes, toothbrushes, haircuts, etc. Join us in celebrating the return to school with fun activities: bounce house, face painting, snow cones, prizes, and a visit from Spider-Man. All items and activities have been donated by local community members/businesses.

Check your child’s immunization record to make sure that it is current. Texas law requires all immunizations to be completed by the first day of attendance. More information on immunization requirements can be found at https://www.dshs.state.tx.us/immunize/school/default.shtm.

Students entering the 7^th grade typically receive the Tdap booster and the meningococcal conjugate vaccine.

"Meet the Teacher" (Conoce a tu docente) será el lunes, 14 de agosto. Este evento será un evento de "entrada por salida" con dos marcos de tiempo diferentes. Si no puede llegar aquí el día 9, tendremos una mesa preparada en "Noche de regreso a la escuela" para que los estudiantes recojan sus horarios el día 14. El plan para la "Noche de regreso a la escuela" es que los estudiantes y los padres se reúnan con los maestros de 6:00 pm a 6:45 pm y luego que todos se dirijan al gimnasio para algunos comentarios sobre las expectativas para el comienzo de la escuela

Los estudiantes de la preparatoria pueden recoger sus horarios de clases el 7 de agosto de 8:30 am a 3:30 pm.

Tendremos nuestra Noche de Regreso a la Escuela el 14 de agosto. de 7:00 a 8:00 pm. Los maestros estarán en sus salones y estarán disponibles para hablar con los estudiantes y los padres sobre los procedimientos, las expectativas y más durante este evento de ir y venir.

El sábado 5 de agosto estaremos organizando un "Bash de Regreso a la Escuela" desde las 10:00 am hasta el mediodía. Este evento es gratuito para nuestras familias de VVISD y proporcionará a los estudiantes artículos de regreso a la escuela como mochilas, útiles escolares, zapatos, cepillos de dientes, cortes de pelo, etc. También habrá un montón de actividades divertidas: brinca-brincas, pinta caritas, raspas y premios. Todos los artículos y actividades han sido donados por miembros/empresas de la comunidad local. ¡Esperamos que se una a nosotros para la diversión!
