Preventing Child Abuse and Neglect

Child abuse is a worldwide issue. We are all responsible for making sure all children are safe. Through collaborative efforts with communities, service providers, and Texas families, we can make sure all children have a brighter future.  

Anyone who suspects that a child has been or may be abused or neglected has a legal responsibility, under state law, for reporting the suspected abuse or neglect to law enforcement or to Child Protective Services (CPS). Reports may be made by contacting one of the following:

• Call 911 for emergency situations
